Wyze Introduces Wyze Band Fitness Tracker With Smart Home Featuresthe latest in the fitness industry

Wyze plans several new products for 2020. Among the new product is the Wyze Band, with built-in Alexa capabilities. Wyze is generally known for its inexpensive smart home gadgets and cameras and one of their newly introduced products band features part fitness tracker and part smart home controller. According to Dave Zatz, the band features alarms, sleep tracker, heart rate sensor, step counter, jogging app, and weather. The band has some customizable backgrounds and clock faces. It also appears to have the ability to display smartphone notifications and fitness badges. While the price is not yet revealed, it’s not expected to cost more than the Alexa-enabled Fitbit Versa 2. We don’t know when consumers can access the Wyze band but we the product announcement reveals that it will be launched “soon.” We will update you about the launch as soon as the date is scheduled.

Shapes Fitness for Women provides an inspirational, community-oriented atmosphere for women’s empowerment in Flower Mound. According to Danielle Cornett, the new owner of the gym since November last year, their gym’s emphasis lies within the community and focuses on creating a non-intimidating environment for women to workout comfortably. The club, which spans more than 6,500-square-feet, offers amenities for women. It features free weight, kids club for moms, machines, top-of-the-line cardio equipment, and infrared sauna. Fitness First Announces It’s Intention to Explore its Franchise Options In Other Territories latest news on fitness today

Fitness First Middle East plans to open 10 fitness clubs across the region in 2020 with the first to be opened in April at Marina Gate, Dubai. It will be the brand’s 23rd in Dubai. Other locations include The Meadows and Silicone Oasis in Dubai; Khalifa City in Abu Dhabi; Ajman City Centre in Ajman; Al Zahia in Sharjah and Bahrain City Centre and Oasis Mall in Bahrain.  In his comment about the expansion, George Flooks, the chief executive officer of Fitness First Middle East, said the brand seeks to ensure that the Middle East’s communities have better access to fitness programmes and innovations. The expansion also encourages women to benefit from the private ladies-only offerings and facilities in some of the gyms across the region and comes with the Fitness First’s Good Vibes app, a lifestyle rewards programme that offers their members unlimited access to offers and discounts.

Fitness Connection opens its doors to New Idlewild Farms in Charlotte

A new gym and sports club called fitness connection is now located at 6320 Albemarle Road in Idlewild Farms, Charlotte. The club offers amenities and services such as a basketball court, group fitness classes, a kid’s club, a sauna/steam room and personal training. Their Facebook page, explains that their approach to fitness is well-rounded, inspiring and interesting. Fitness Connection has already made a good impression, thanks to their 4.5-star rating out of three surveys on Yelp. The club is open from 5 a.m. on Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m.–8 p.m. on weekends.

Apple is Developing an App That Lets You Download Workout Videos for iOS 14fitness news

Apple seems to be working on a new fitness app for Apple TV, Apple Watch and iPhone with the intent of enabling users to download fitness-related videos to walk them through different workouts. The app, codenamed “Seymour,” may be called Fitness or Fit when it is released. The app may be released in tvOS 14, watchOS 7 and iOS 14, and could be a standalone app that will be made available to complement the existing Activity app.  The fitness app comes with a gallery of several workout routines that users can download and sync to the Apple Watch, which can as well be used to track your progress for the workout routine. The free app will possibly come with a variety of activity types, such as stretching, yoga, dance, indoor running, core training, strength training, cycling, rowing and outdoor walking.
